Induction

So I’m being induced on Wednesday. But if I can I’d like to get things started naturally. Any tips to kickstart labour that actually work? I don’t want to hurt myself by eating loads of sriracha if it’s not gonna do anything 😅

Im being induced Wednesday too :) raspberry leaf tea to help ripen cervix, pineapple supposedly and sex. Iv been having a mocktail of iced raspberry leaf tea with pineapple juice and cranberry juice and have noticed an increase in braxton hicks but that could be coincidental no idea if it is doing anything but it tastes nice 😂

@Lauren okay I’m gonna try this. I’ve tried drinking raspberry leaf tea but I can’t stand it. So if I can make it taste better that would be amazing 😅

my midwife advised dates for cervix softening and sex. I’ve heard you can try also try miles circuit, kerb walking, and acupuncture. You could also ask for sweep if you see your midwife that might help start things

I second the dates - you need the large juicy ones, not the very dry ones, and approx 70g/daily. This cervix softening claim is actually backed by smallish research. For me, it was a good experience the first time around as my cervix was fairly cooperative when I had my daughter 😅 My only issue is that they give me a bit of heartburn (which I usually treat it with drinking a bit of milk 🤷‍♀️) I will be induced @38 weeks with my second 🤞

Also the good dates with peanut butter tastes ok, i struggle with the texture of dates but i can make myself think its a sad kind of candy bar if i put peanut butter on them 😂

@Jess Whaaaaat? How? 👀👀🙈🤣🤣 I love the RLT! Got the hot tea mama so it is mixed with pepermint and really really good. Drink it on its own. No honey or lemon. But I am used to herbal teas.
