Looking for support- weddings

We left a wedding (post vows) early to pick up baby and drop mum home and didn't go back. Some family are miffed but it was right for baby. Originally in-laws were going to have baby after nursery but they caught covid so we had to pick baby up by 6pm. Mum also is unwell and was my responsibility today and had to be home by 6.30pm. We had to leave the wedding by 5ish to get baby and drop mum home by which point baby in inconsolably tired so we just came home did tea and bedtime routine for baby and stayed home. Would you be annoyed at us?

Noooo you did what was right by your baby, to me you did what any good parent should do well done for thinking about yourself and your family, just let the haters hate , but feel proud of yourself x

@Kirsty thank you I appreciate that 💗 I grew up in a family that puts everyone else's wants or needs ahead of their own so it feels like such a big deal putting baby first
