I had to do pelvic floor physiotherapy. The muscles are cut during a c section so the pelvic floor can have a lot of issues.

I'm pretty sure you aren't meant to use tampons for a while, even after a section

@Nikita yeah I was told no tampons for first period aslong as you’ve healed well then can use for the one after . (Had two csections) xx

I was told i could after 6 weeks

I agree it’s probably too soon to be trying to use tampons … I thankfully still havnt had a period and i am 7 months PP! But I can’t imagine trying to use a tampon at 6 weeks 🫣

Get in with a pelvic floor therapist. I have this problem and it hasn’t gone away and I’m 19 months PP from my first C-section (had my second 1 month ago). I’ve used pads or adult diapers cause tampons hurt and sex hurt so bad that our sex life has been almost nonexistent for the last 19 months (we abstained for 9 months after my first and the 1st time we broke that abstinence I got pregnant with our second). I finally just got a referral for pelvic floor therapy from my OB and have the appts set up for it.

So it hurt me to use a tampon so nice my c section 11 months ago, but actually this is the first month that I was able to use them more or less comfortably! I don’t know if it’s because enough time has passed or if it’s because I’ve been doing more exercise so maybe that’s helped my pelvic floor, or whether it’s because I’m using cotton organic tampons. Maybe it’s all those things. Either way, don’t rush it! It takes a long time for our bodies to heal, but you’ll get there! Also, sex was also painful for me in the beginning but it got better with each month.

Yup! I gave up with them! Been 2 years 3 months (well I’ve been pregnant since June, so technically 1 year 11 months)
