Long haul flight

I’m travelling to China in a few days (I’ll be 26 weeks) and was wondering if anyone had any advice for the flight and trip etc. I’ve ordered some compression socks, will be taking my hospital notes and will speak to my midwife/gp about a fit to fly certificate tomorrow. Is there anything that I’m missing?

Following - I’m going Hong Kong via China next month and would like to see what advice there is also 🥰

I’m traveling to Morocco in two weeks, apart from what you’ve mention, also make sure you’ve got travel insurance.

I would recommend getting a little ‘foot swing’ off of Amazon - just did a 12 hour flight to LA and that saved my legs from getting too swollen/cramping

I’m flying today and BA have a new flight policy for pregnancy. You need a “right to fly” signed document no matter how many weeks pregnant you are. I’ve found it a nightmare to get signed. Hospital won’t sign it, midwife wouldn’t and doctors kicked up a right fuss. The doctors did sign it in the end but I had to pay £35… just check your airline policy - hopefully it’s normal

Hi ladies, just to confirm that for any BA flight you have to have their form signed by the doctor to be able to fly so worth checking out! I got asked for it on check-in. I was almost going to risk not getting it signed being only 26 weeks pregnant but so glad I did now…
