I can finally speak on my birth experience

I was 39 weeks and barely had signs of labor. Wednesday of last week I had a doctor’s appointment, they said I was 3cm dilated, so they wanted to induce me Monday due to gestational diabetes. I was like nooo not happening so I was doing everything for her to come over the weekend. Before I left my appointment my doctor did a membrane sweep which put me at 4 cm. I started having mild contractions and then lost a large part of my mucus plug that evening. That Saturday I started walking a lot and walking the curbs. I felt more contractions coming. Move along to Sunday started giving up hope so I went out to eat around 4 and got back home around 5 ish, went to the bathroom and felt my whole under wear wet( not like a gush) and so I called my OB and she said sounds like a portion of your water may have broken but you would need to go to the ER to make sure plus you are having other symptoms, went to the ER around 6:00pm and let’s just say at 12:04 midnight my baby was here 💓

@Crystal thank you ❤️❤️

Thank you for sharing, mama! I have a question: can you talk more about the contractions you had? I've been having contractions at night or when I walk a lot for the past 4 days. I think they might be Braxton Hicks, but I really have no idea. At each checkup of 5 minutes they tell me my cervix is still closed. I'm 38 weeks.

@Iv that was me too I had them in my back mostly which felt like elevated period cramps , then in my stomach felt like a lot of pressure mixed with tightness , so you may be having small contractions

Congratulationsss 💕💕💕
