I also take baths with her sometimes. I’ll sit and put her in between my legs but the bath is so small and she likes to move around
We have a rubber bath mat in the tub to prevent slipping and I am usually in the tub. Either he sits between my legs or in front of me with water less then chest height on him. I usually am in cause our tub has high walls so leaning over is very hard. The hardest part for me is getting in and out safely.
Toys can help distract a mover too. Try some water books, toys (rubber ducky classic), foam shapes or even just a wash cloth or a wash puff.
@April second this!! BUT does anyone know of mats that work for tubs with texture at the bottom?

This is the one I have. We have a textured tub, I don't think it's the best out there but it works
We took the fabric out and she just has a mini tub of her own now.
We transitioned out of the infant tub around 6 months and someone had gifted us this - which works perfectly as a transition to the big tub. Munchkin® Duck™ Inflatable Baby Bathtub with White Hot® Heat Alert https://a.co/d/5ZThvtV
@Karlene thank you! A lot of the reviews for them say they don’t work on textured tubs or that they do. I guess I could always return but it’s annoying, but I get so nervous as my son tries to stand all the time even with a million toys in the bath lol
Once he is sitting up you remove the fabric and bars. Just let him sit in the empty tub.
@April Thank you!!! I have the elbow and knee saver pads but it’s not enough to help with my back!
@Karlene Thank you! I bought some bath toys that are coming in today from Amazon! I hope it all works out for my boy!
@Kelsey I am thinking about doing that! Just let my son sit in the tub itself with some toys. He tends to pee in his bath tub when he’s free Willy lol
@Darlene Thanks! Might consider this!!!

@Erin YES, will try this!
We got rid of the baby baths at like 7 months once she was sitting up by herself well. We put in a mat so she doesn’t slip and we have one of those knee and elbow pads so we can kneel over to wash her! She LOVES the freedom and loves baths so much more now.
