C-section
Has anyone had issues with their c-sections. I had my c-section almost 2 weeks ago now and I think it’s starting to get infected.. my midwife took a swab yesterday but I’m in more pain today:/ I’m sure it is infected quite swollen and seeping.. what do they do for it? Do they just give you antibiotics? X

recommend taking photos of your wound so you can compare if it gets worse
I had 3 infections after my c section but none were my scar, ask them to do a urine sample and blood test
I had an infection in my scar about 2 weeks after the surgery. I went to the birthing unit and my obgyn squeezed all the puss out and then I had to do 2 rounds of antibiotics
I had 2 infections. I called the doctors told them I'm so many weeks pp and they helped straight away got me in had a look and gave me antibiotics for both

if you are getting worse go to the birthing unit and ask to be reviewed. I started showing signs i was infected at 2 weeks pp with puss at the wound site, red, smelly and had multiple courses of antibiotics I did also have endometritis Keep the area dry and sterile, while the wound is healing. i had a sterile surgical pad that was open down the bottom to allow the ooze to seep out but kept my clothes off of it and kept it as sterile as possible
