Elective C Section

I was scheduled for a section week 39 with my first (but went into labour week 38), that was booked at week 32. I’m already scheduled in now for week 38 with baby 2 to avoid a repeat. Had it booked at week 24. Every hospital is different though, everyone arranges their staff rotas and theatre diaries differently but mine is all sorted as it’s between bank holidays (Xmas and nye)

I had my 2nd c section at 40 weeks but that's because I was trying to go natural after having an emergency c section with my 1st but this time around I have no choice and she said depends how you go but they like to do it at 39 weeks.

I did ask if I can have it at 38 weeks she said see how I am nearer the time. I just don't wanna go in labour as never had a natural birth and I'm more scared of that lol

Thanks ladies I’m just trying to gauge when it will be as I plan on working till quite late on in my pregnancy, 10 days before my due date so I don’t have to return till after Xmas next year but just hoping nothing clashes x

Week 39 so will either be 39 weeks exactly or 39+3 as I’m due the Tuesday and I’ve been told it will either be Tuesday or Friday that week x

Obviously that’s if I don’t go into labour early 🙈
