Preparing body for birth

Anyone got any tips on preparing your body for birth from early on? I’m only 14 weeks and have been SUFFERING from sickness and exhaustion up until recently. Now that I feel alive again, I want to begin to better myself before giving birth. I’ve already been doing kegal exercises to strengthen my pelvic floor but any other tips would be extremely helpful! Thanks 😊 Pic just to boost post, first thing I bought for baby. Aren’t they adorable 🥹

Those slippers are so cute! I'm also at 14 weeks & I've been recommended to do yoga & pilates (make sure the instructor is qualified to teach pregnant people or look for specific prenatal classes online). I'm also hearing a lot that hypnobirthing is good for teaching you to stay relaxed when the contractions hit, but I haven't really looked into it yet x

@Julie oooh I might just do that. Haven’t heard of hypnobirthing so I’ll definitely take a look into that. Thanks ladies 🫶🏻

Prenatal yoga 100% and hypnobirthing. Also, some kind of trauma release therapy if you’re fearful of giving birth can really help- like EFT tapping, labour is a mind game !

Exercise as best you can, stay hydrated, eat well. Keeping your body fueled will definitely serve you when it comes time to deliver. Don’t forget to prepare your mind as well. Your mindset is such a huge factor in whatever labor experience you have. Listen to positive birth stories, educate yourself on the process of birth and what interventions are out there so you are fully informed when you make your decisions, and remember your body can absolutely do this!! 🙌🏽

Keep your mobility up, if you were active before pregnancy stay as active as you can now. Drink plenty, take your vitamins, maybe get a few pregnancy massages to ease hip and back issues when you get bigger and just enjoy it xx

Keep active and eat well 🥰

Workout till the very last day if you can! My birth was an hour and a half on gas and air and I’m sure it’s down to moving my body all the way up to the last day. Goodluck x

Be active as much as you can, eat well and stay hydrated sending love x

Those are the cutest lil booties. Do lots of walking. Stretch. Squats. Yoga is actually recommended the most by my doula. My fouls was thè best.
