In Labour…

Waters broke at 9pm yesterday. Confirmed at the hospital that it was my waters. I’m 37+4 weeks and this is my second baby. Contractions are coming roughly every 8 minutes depending on whether I’m standing or sitting. I can’t remember when I need to actually go to the hospital 😂

Ring triage and ask!

Obviously if you’re unsure on anything you can always ring triage. At my local hospital they want you back in either when contractions are roughly 3 minutes apart or it’s 24 hours since your waters broke. Whichever comes first

Keep the pads on and check what colour of your water is discharged. Most likely you need to go to hospital if contractions are every 5 min and last for 1 min. Good luck, you got this girl ❤️

My waters went at 38+5 and I had to go back in 24 hours, but I actually ended up going back in 14 due to my contractions being down to 4 minutes apart - turned out I wasn’t even dilating, my waters breaking seemed to give a false labour. Although it was the beginning of my journey. Good luck mama x
