Braxton Hicks??

I just went in for reduce movements, whilst being monitored, my uterus movement/contractions were going up very regularly. Before the midwife left she said the line should pretty much stay flat, after monitoring for 45 minutes you can see it would massively increase every few minutes and I could feel a pressure when this happened. I have felt this pressure before but never as regular. She spoke to a doctor who didn’t have a massive concern as I wasn’t in any pain but I can’t help but worry!! Has anyone else had this?

Just keep an eye on it if you have pain with it then go back in, I had this for three days last week and had period type pains with it but my cervix was closed… they said sometimes our body’s are just preparing for labour and it could go on for weeks before anything actually happened xx

I had a day of severe Braxton hicks like this, I rushed to triage because they were super painful and the midwife said I could be meeting my baby early (with my first) but the day after they settled. They checked my cervix etc and everything was fine. I hope you’re ok x

This line measures uterine tension. It can be caused by braxton hicks, contractions, , babies movements, maternal movements etc. Has it settled down now? I was in with baby 2 and they picked up contractions like this, they were painful, too, not just pressure. But my cervix was closed etc so they diagnosed irritable uterous in the end. I then continued to have fairly regular contractions until 39+2 when baby was born! X
