Second pregnancy after C-section with large baby

Does anyone know the protocol for a second pregnancy in the UK (at St Thomas’ Hospital) if someone previously had an emergency C-section with a large baby (9lbs 11oz)? Do they encourage VBAC or tend to lean towards another C-section? Is there any additional consultation to go over the history of the first pregnancy and birth? The age gap will be 2 yrs 3 months between the babies.

My first was 9.3 and this baby is predicted to be on the bigger side too (very long legs) they said it was completely up to me and would support either way. When I had my emergency section last time they told me I had a narrow pelvis so would struggle to deliver a large baby so after last time/ poor recovery I opted for elective this time around just so I had more control over things. I think it’s completely your choice ☺️ They also had me reflect on my birth with a consultant (not the same hospital as yours but seems to have a birth service to do this) as it was quite a traumatic delivery I would have loved a VBAC but my poor body I don’t think I could do it and would hate to end up as emergency again xx

I have 5 years between mine two first c section and was allowed to go natural birth but had a consultant check me over and had a team ready incase my scar teared on the inside my second was in distress during labour and I chose a c section to get her out safely ita your choice but all they can do is advise you if you have another c section they won't let you go natural if you get pregnant again

Had 2 sections my first they predicted 12lbs and my second over 10lbs my first was 9lbs 3oz and second was 9lbs 14oz for my second the midwife was happy for me to try vbac but consultant explained the risk and so I opted for another c section and I’m glad I did because I think I might of struggled with my little girl,it’s your birth you tell them what you want and they will advise what they think is safest,if second baby is large they might advise another c section but if your heart is set on a vbac you tell them that and then they just prepare so if you was to end up having another section they ready for it.
