C Section help!

I’m having a C Section in 2 days,I was planning a home birth but I’m 41+5 and I’m mentally and physically done. I’m looking for some advice on what to bring, things you found were essential etc! I know to take my own pillow and have disposable nappy’s but no idea what else I need!

Chap stick after surgery My lips got so dry both times and I was glad I brought chap stick with me for baby #2. Bring your own gown to change into because that will be WAY more comfortable than the stiff hospital gown. I also loved having face cleansing wipes to feel fresh after staff wakes you up a million times at night.

Agre with the face cleansing wipes, and I'd bring loose pajamas that are high waisted (I couldn't do low rise stuff for over a year) also ask the nurses for an abdominal binder thing, i forget what they're called but if you do it where it's snug but not corset it helps your stomach feel more supported and protected

Personally couldnt get away with adult nappies the ribbed part at the top really irritated my skin in general cause left uncomfortable indents so take some high waisted knickers incase they dont work for you either and take plenty drinks and snacks obviously you can't eat before then after usually are abit queasy post op so you might miss there meal times in my case I did so I was starving after x

Eye mask and maybe ear plugs if you think you’ll be able to get someone to visit you to keep an eye on baby so you can get a few hours sleep. A towel so you can have a shower and some flip flops or slippers because it’s really important for recovery to get up and moving as soon as you can
