Christmas 🎄 (Sorry, I know it's early!)

Just wondering what people were planning on getting their September babies for Christmas or what people will ask relatives to get for baby? He's only going to be 3 months old but I imagine it would be good to get things that will work up until he turns 1. I want to start getting bits early so I can spread the cost as my maternity pay will run out in January but I'm not sure what to get!

Lovevery boxes are great :) maybe you could ask relatives to get different boxes up to when he is one year old? :)

@Isa this is such a great idea!!!!

@Amanda we love them as they are always very well targeted to age and avoids you spending loads of money on crappy plastic toys that don't get used.. also sometimes my 20 month old still plays with toys from the earlier boxes so they are definitely going to last :) z

Books books books, nappies and loads of cuddles 🙌🏼🙌🏼 I told everyone who asked us to get books or vouchers to John Lewis or M&S so we can get what we need and of course nappies. We won't buy anything as already got prepared with cute christmas and nye clothes 🥰🥰🥰

@Isa that is such a good idea, I've seen these advertised! Thank you :)

@Gabi We love books so this is always a good idea, he has so many already though 😅 Vouchers is another good idea, love this!

I’m not really buying anything as such, I have lots from my first (toys books etc) so I will be rewrapping them as baby and my toddler will have no clue 🫣😂 I’ll be putting money towards his Christmas Eve box and sentimental gifts as well as a photoshoot with Santa 🎅🏻

We're asking the grandparents to gift a day out that they come along to and can make some memories, rather than buying the baby stuff. So my in-laws are gifting a day out to a local farm. My parents, a trip to the aquarium. We've said if they want something for baby to "open" on Christmas, to buy something small that hints at the day out e.g. a fish bath toy to symbolise the aquarium. This feels like a good compromise as I am already so overwhelmed with the amount of stuff coming into the house just from people buying her stuff as a newborn.

We asked for experiences, sensory classes, clothing, toys suitable for up to 1.
