Missing Birth

My husband will miss the birth of our daughter and it’s killing me :( I’m getting induced Wednesday and my mother won’t be in town until Saturday so he has to be at home with our toddler the entire time because we don’t have any family or friends nearby. My last induction took 2 days just to end up in a c section and I had to stay in the hospital an extra two days making it a total of 4 days in the hospital. Even after our baby is born, he won’t be able to stay in the hospital with me because children aren’t allowed overnight stays. I could just tell them I don’t want the induction but I have GD, anemic, my blood pressure is usually through the roof, and my body is so tired of being pregnant.

Is it an option to find a babysitter ? Oh man I’m sorry :( 😞

@Yani I have tried looking on our local babysitter’s page but I don’t feel comfortable with him being with any of them especially since he’s never met them🥲 it just sucks I wish we could move my mother’s flight so she can be here with him

And that’s not an option moving her flight ?

Could you talk to the hospital and let them know there is no other option but to have your toddler and child there with you?

Download an app called Bubble, it’s full of DBS checked babysitters, other than that can one of your friends drive to where you are a day in advance???

When labour starts to get into full swing, can't your husband come in with your toddler literally just for the birthing of the baby part? They don't have to stay. My toddler and husband were at the hospital for my birth, might be an option if you discuss it with the staff. Literally just for the final part of labour.

@May I will mention that to them and see hopefully they’re lenient with our situation
