How long did you contract before “active” labour?

I’ve been contracting every 5mins since 4am this morning. I had a sweep at 3pm yesterday and started to get pain about two/ three hours after the sweep, with a bloody show and mucus which more then was coming out overnight. I’m just wondering if when I get roughly to the 12hr mark if my contractions are still 5mins apart I should be calling triage and asking if it’s not progressing? I’ve taken paracetamol, warm shower and hot water bottle but I’m getting annoyed now because I’m in pain and nothings working 😅

20 hours for me and I then had to be induced due to slow progression, I’d go in to see how dilated you are, good luck!!x

If your contractions have been 5 mins apart for this long I would definitely call triage and ask if you should come in

Update: I went to triage and 3cm !

He was born at 8am this morning :)

12 hours, but I was able to take care of my toddler for first 8hours. Last 4 i just wanted Peace and quiet. Then went to hospital with 5cm.
