Oh mama I’m so sorry. This is exactly what I’m afraid of too. I think people forget just how scary giving birth is, ANYTHING can happen. Don’t forget you are so so strong and you’ll have a sweet baby when it’s all over. I’ve never had a c section and I’m so scared to ever get one but I have a friend that JUST had one and she said it was so easy, she didn’t feel anything, she said the worst part was healing while trying to take care of her new born but other than that she was fine! I believe in you!

@Ryanna thank you love 😭❤️

I was terrified of needing a C-section and with my first baby I ended up having an emergency one. I had a massive panic attack when I got to the operating theater. But! The procedure itself wasn't really all that bad. I just let my fear build up into this horrible monster in my head. They give you a block so you can't feel from your chest down and that's strange but you don't feel the cesarian itself happen. Then afterward they encourage you to walk around a bit as soon as you can, which feels impossible, but when you do it it genuinely helps you feel better and heal faster, I've found.

I think making sure to take some deep calming breaths when you're feeling the anxiety overtake you is so helpful. And having someone there to hold your hand, even if it's just a really kind nurse. I know it's scary but you can do this! And then you'll have your darling baby 💕

@Wren thank you I needed this 😭❤️

Try a miles circuit

I had it and painful part is recovery.❤️‍🩹 In the hospital they give you enough pain relief to not be horrible in hospital. Don’t be scared either way you got this love!!! ❤️

I just had my first on Tuesday and it ended up being an unexpected c section, don’t be scared mama. It’s a little intimidating when you get in the room because it’s bright and there are a lot of medical personnel but it does not hurt and sounds like you’ve already been through way worse 🤍

I had a c-section in 2022. It sounds scarier than it really is. You won't feel any pain during the procedure. You might feel some tugging and pulling, but that's it. It takes about 45-60 minutes total, but baby will be out within like 10-15 minutes. Recovery is longer, but just keep taking your pain killer and you will be alright! I was up walking the neighborhood within the same week my son came home. You won't be able to drive for a couple weeks also. Make sure you sit down and rest and snuggle baby. Your house doesn't have to be cleaned and your guests don't need to be entertained. Focus on rest and healing. But I promise you, c-sections aren't as horrible as they sound.

I had 4, and it didn't hurt. I didn't like the needles in my back, but this last time I had no painful or uncomfortable feeling.

I just had a c section and honestly I was scared at first but the nurses and doctors talked me through everything and made everything really calm and less scary for me. I prayed before during and after the procedure. It honestly felt like it went really fast and before I knew it I was back in my room holding my baby.
