Trapped wind / struggling to poop

LO has gone from pooing regularly (every dirty nappy) to 2/3 times a day (which I know is recommended) with lots of tears in between. She really is struggling to go. I’ve tried bicycle kicks, belly massage, burping for longer and keeping upright after feeds for a bit longer. LO is combi fed- I give infacol before bottles/ formula but not breast.

Omg I could have written this! Good to know there are other mums in my situation lol

I’ve been told that powder formula is heavier and can take a bit longer to get through LOs system, maybe try a liquid version of the powder formula u are using x

also could’ve written this minus the formula. My 4 week old is horrendous for it and way way worse at night for some reason. Infacol seems to bring up loads of burps/farts but he just can’t poo at night it’s like he forgets how 🥲

@Tallulah that makes sense as we had started with the ready made aptamils and then bought a tub of powder this week! Thank you for this! Makes sense now! X

@Skye yeah Infacol has been a saving grace as it def helping pain wise but only for a little bit! X

@Maria Vittoria I do like this page for reassurance and know I’m not alone 🙌 x

@Tallulah Also health visitor said they are the same but obviously not

@incognito yesss same! Definitely helps him to bring up burps and farts but seems to make no difference overall to the pain! He wakes in the night and is just flinging his arms and legs about crying, it’s awful to see!
