Back to the children’s hospital we go.

My daughter got out of the hospital yesterday after much argument that she wasn’t ready on our parts. They pushed and pushed til we agreed. Well we are now awaiting transport to go back.

What’s going on?

Girl, my two babys keep me in the ER

@Myranda she was diagnosed with pneumonia two days ago. X-ray today shows no more pneumonia but bronchitis/bronchiolitis. She isn’t able to go without supplemental oxygen. She tanked big time today in the school drive line and we’ve been here since. Just waiting on transport still. Her o2 is okay right now, 95% on 2L of oxygen. But she’s still struggling

@Carolina this will be her second hospitalization in two days and I am OVER IT. They knew it was too damn early for her to go home. But clearly just didn’t care. I’m not letting her go home until she’s a consistent 95%+ o2 sats while sleeping at least. Like nope push me all you want she ain’t going home til I know she is fucking ready. Nurse asked if there was anything she could do for me and I burst into tears. Like idk maybe make my two year old magically better lol

Next time, ask for a statement saying they are releasing without anymore testing for the reasons they say and against your wishes. Legally they won’t want that on paper so they’ll do any testing you request there’s not good reason for provider to send you home if you don’t feel safe. If they still release you; you’ll have documentation for court if needed that you tried to advocate and they made a shitty judgement call. I hope your family heals and finds peace

@🇵🇸catalyst🗼🧙🏻‍♀️🌕🌘🔮🇵🇸 I am so thankful that this time they didn’t try to rush us out. They made sure I felt comfortable first. Dr. Dipshit who released her early was part of her fucking care team again though?! She ended up on heated high flow oxygen due to possible respiratory failure and it wasn’t helping at all but instead of weaning her slowly he dropped it from 30L to 5. 30 is the max so that big of a drop is CRAZY and it can cause some issues. She’s still getting a little dizzy which is one of the things the respiratory therapist said is a side effect of such a fast drop. I told her I didn’t want him in the room anymore and she must have passed it on because he never came back in. But yeah I was way more confident going home this time :) she’s amazing and definitely put up a fight.
