VBAC Induction

Hey, I’m very close to my ‘due date’ and I’ve opted for an ‘out of guidance’ birth plan as I want to be in the birth centre, water, gas and air etc for my VBAC. I had an emergency c section last time so I know things can go left very quickly so I want to think of all the possibilities. If I get to 41 weeks, they will suggest an induction or booking another c section. Has anyone had any positive experiences with an induction that still led to a successful VBAC? I’m also open to hear negative experiences too as it will help inform my decision. Thanks x

Following! I get induced next week 🫣😬

I’m in the exact same boat. I’m currently 37 weeks and will be going to a birth centre! I have opted out of any additional scans/consultant appointments etc and have said I’d like to wait until 41 weeks to decide which way I’d like to go, but I may just say no to both induction and cesarean at that point too. I’m hoping a sweep might help 🤷🏻‍♀️ all I know is I’m doing what I want this time and won’t feel pressured either way. I can’t imagine a cesarean with a nearly two year old 🙈

@Kristen it’s hard isn’t it 😭 I would hate to have an induction just to have it end in another emergency c section. I’m hoping that me being on my toes and running around a toddler all day is making me ripe and ready to have a VBAC.

@Isadora awwww all the best! Do let us know how it goes xx

@Melanie it just got pushed back because of this hurricane, but pretty sure I’m starting to have contractions now. 😬😬 Worst timing
