Braxton hicks?

im 31 + 4 weeks and have been having braxton hicks on and off since 28 weeks, I only really seem to get them after 1pm as that's when I have lunch (teacher) and they have been getting more intense and somewhat painful as the day goes on, they get a bit better when I lay on my side but the moment I get up it all comes back. I've also lost some of my mucus plug on Tuesday was about a 50p sized amount and a tiny bit more today. Trying not to panic but not sure what to do, have a midwife appointment tomorrow so I'll mention it then, but has this happened to anyone else?

I would ring triage and just get checked if your worried xx

I've been having braxton hicks for months so they don't concern me at all, but if yours are painful or have a pattern, maybe best to mention? Especially if yoht think some.of your plug has gone. But your plug can regenerate, so don't panick too much x

I went into hospital after calling triage on Saturday night as I had painful braxton hicks for three days I was convinced it was actually early labour as they were coming every 10-30 min and were paired with cramps like I had dihorrea but did not… they put me on the monitor for half hour and could see the tightenings but did a speculum and my cervix was closed… I’m not sure if it’s your first but they said to me that it’s likely more painful for me as I have had 3 c sections so the scar tissue pulling is making it feel like proper contractions… I’ve still had them irregularly throughout the day, mine seem to start early morning and stop in the afternoon after a bath and pain killers…. I would mention it to midwife and they will likely say to go in and get checked just to make sure that your cervix is closed and that they are actually braxton hicks and not early labour ❤️
