Seeking advice

37+4 with my second baby. My first pregnancy was a straight forward birth no complications. However, this time round baby has decided to remain in a breech bum down position engaged. I’ve had 3 attempts at an ECV to no avail. I’ve now got to consider whether I want a natural breech birth which I’m supposed to be ideal for or a c section. I think I know what I want and need to do in my head but my concerns are that I really want to breast feed and just wondered if anyone has had problems with this after having their breech babies either natural or through C-section? TIA xx

I had my first with a C-section and breastfed just fine, it doesn't impact your milk production. My milk came in after 2 days so for the first couple of days the little guy lived on the colostrum and he was fine.

Had my first via emergency c-section and breastfed with an oversupply for 7 months 😊 c-section has no effect on your supply or when your milk comes in, it’s a myth. Don’t forget it’s totally normal for your milk to take 2-5 days to come in anyway, whether vaginal or c-section, and they just need colostrum before that which you’ll produce immediately after birth x

I'm having a planned c section and planning to breastfeed. I had an emergency one with my first and had no issues. I think it's the removal of your placenta that makes your milk come in so shouldn't be any different xxx

Just wanted to say I’m having a similar experience too. This is second baby, 1st baby was fairly straightforward. I’m 36+5 and he’s breech/transverse. Will be offered an ECV next week if baby in a position that they can perform it. Very nervous about it all x
