What is the overnight set up at C&W?
My understanding is there are three options. Is anyone able to confirm?
1. On the ward (free but not private and partner sleeps on chair).
2. Private room in NHS section (at a cost but private, first come first served). Does anyone know the cost and likelihood of getting?
3. Private room in Kensington Wing (at a greater cost than the above and again depends on availability with their private patients). I’ve been told £1.3k for this.

Those are all correct but a private room at a cost is normally given to someone with an infection/ COVID or personal reasons need to be in a room off the ward. They are limited on those rooms but worth asking if you want one when there. The cost last year was £100 a night.
I asked in April when I gave birth and was told around £300-£400 per night but my midwife said you will have more help on the ward.
@Maria I was put in a private NHS room due to having an infection at that moment, and I definitely felt isolated.

I was just on the wards and got induced, was told my husband had to leave at night but he didn’t. He got to stay 24/7 on antenatal, labour & postnatal wards xx But yes he was meant to sleep in chair, although on postnatal ward he got in the bed next to me x
