My baby sounds like a raptor when feeding

Is this normal? Whilst feeding and afterwards my baby sounds like a raptor. Kind of like high pitched little squeels and sounds congested. We burp and burp him and it still happens. Does anyone else's baby do this?

My boy does this! We have saline drops for his nose when it gets too bad x

Ah we've just started using the drops! Hopefully it clears up. Thank you 😊 x

Yes!! Mine sounds like a chain smoker during feeds, terrified me 😅

My baby girl is the noisiest eater / general grunting and squeaking etc. I wasn’t sure if it was wind or just her noises. Also purrs like a kitten in her sleep 🙈 I’ve got used to it now - guessing some babies are just noisier than others x

Mine grunts like a warthog 😂 it's so loud

My son does this, and was seen by the paediatric team yesterday who said the noise is stridor caused by a floppy larynx (Laryngomalacia). Your little one’s noise might not be similar but id definitely get it checked out if you’re concerned. It’s usually innocent but any blueness or breathlessness when feeding you access emergency care. Could be something totally different! But thought I would mention as this is exactly how my son sounds feeding and post feed x

Yes! Or does that and we were so worried we went to hospital about it! Turns out- totally normal- they grow out of it as they get older. We were also advised to use saline water and if necessary a snot sucker.
