Large yolk sac

Hello, I had my early pregnancy scan today and noticed the yolk sac looks a little big! Is this normal? I have read it can cause a MC and I’m stressed as I have already had a loss! Any help will be so appreciated!

I had this on my early scan, and I was told by my Doctor that a large yolk sac is most probably a sign of aneuploidies (chromosomal abnormalities).. I ended up miscarrying 2 weeks later.. but you can never say for sure, as every pregnancy is different.. Did they tell you anything during the scan?

Hello no they didn’t say anything at the scan?😩

They didn't tell me either.. in fact, the sonographer said he's happy with the measurements, even though I was measuring 6 days behind.. As I said, every pregnancy is different, so it might not even be that.. but I would like to have been prepared beforehand, and instead, I was only told after the worst happened.. 😟 I would call the midwife and ask, just in case.. and try to have positive thoughts.. Hope everything turns out fine for you, and that my rainbow 🌈 will arrive soon.. 🤞🏻

I have called them and they’re calling me back tomorrow! I only measured a day out so I was close to what I was thinking which is good news. Trying not to worry about it! X

I honestly hope it's going to end up well for you.. 🤞🏻it might be worth asking if they could prescribe progesterone pessaries (if you are not already on them)..

It happened to me, on the seven week scan there was lack of embryo and on the eleventh week scan the embryo seemed to have stopped growing at 6 weeks and the sac was as large as 11 weeks - I had a miscarriage the next day.
