Severe constipation post c section

Hi has anyone experienced the above? I was told the constipation is most likely the result of strong painkillers i was provided which i have now stopped. The stomach and back pains are excruciating and i cannot walk or sleep comfortably. I was provided stool softners which im taking and went to a n e 2 days post birth and they provided medicine through the back door which helped alot but since then the constipation has remained and is getting worse as i still havent managed to go to the toilet since this medication. Currently taking luctoclose, drinking water and having dates and less solids. Any advice would be massively appreciated. I have a 4 day old and struggling to enjoy my newborn bubble because of this.

This was me! It was awful. I was ended up drinking half a bottle of lactolose. I went but I mean I did need to use the bathroom allot that day. Would do it again over the constipation. Try putting your feet on a stool when you go to the toilet. Use a douche warm water whilst trying to go. And drink so so much water xxx

Happened to me too. Have lots of carrots and water. Good luck!

This was me and still me at the moment and also suffering from piles, the lactose did help a bit from the beginning but then i wasn’t working for me anymore, i had to go to the GP regarding the piles and they gave me Laxido and am also drinking prune juice which is also helping and som orange juice too though it does make baby go to toilet quite often that’s if you are breastfeeding. Also try drinking warm water in the mornings and during the day if you can. With the back try sitting upright and always have cushions at your back for support when sitting, this is what helped to and am still doing them. All the best dear.

Also drink green tea instead of normal tea, if you wiill drink tea then I will suggest decaf one and try eating more fruits and veggies too.

You can also get I think they’re glycerin suppositories. Not sure if you can buy or gp prescribe
