I had an elective C section there yesterday and have had a really positive experience! The staff in the recovery bay, theatre and in Mulberry Ward have been amazing and we’re getting such good care.

@Helena Amazing! Glad to hear it’s been positive for you and congratulations ☺️ xx

@Meenu thanks Meenu! I was really happy with Whipps throughout my pregnancy too. Let me know if you have any more questions at all 😊 xx

I gave birth there 2 weeks ago , the service was good not brilliant , just remember if you are under any medication just remind them constantly, I had to keep reminding the nurses about mine. But overall it was good

@Anabella thanks for the tip and congratulations ☺️ xxx

I had a very positive experience. I gave birth 16 weeks ago. All the staff were lovely and I didn’t have to remind them about medication at all. I had an emergency c-section.

@Ruth Congratulations! I’m glad to hear it was a positive experience for you 😊 xx

@N Thanks for sharing! Glad most of it was positive.. having a really lovely midwife makes such a big difference! Congratulations 😊 xx

Absolutely loved my experience there. Go for it x

The doctors who carried out my C section - Amazing, 100% can't fault them. I needed a moment to breathe before they stuck the needle in the back and they gave me all the time I needed and didn't rush me. The nurses however who look after you on the ward. A few mistakes were made. I was being given injections in my leg every so often and they almost overdosed me, I guess they don't liase very well between themselves... if I hadn't of recorded when last my injection was and objected when the nurse was trying to give it to me again, I dunno what would have happened but it wouldn't have been good. There were a few good nurses though I don't want to make em seem all bad but definitely make notes of what they giving you at what time and don't be afraid to advocate for yourself if need be.

I should probably add that while I was giving birth, alot of staff members were striking. This may have affected the care I received...

They are so good. I had really great support throughout my pregnancy. Their maternity triage is very helpful and supportive. i had an emergency c section, the doctors and nurses were really caring and helpful.

@Alma thanks so much for the advice xxx

I'm 17weeks in and I already took Whipps maternity tour. The lady who took us was from the C section ward and was absolutely lovely, so from our chat with her and comments here I feel that C section should be good there. However I would love to hear about people's experiences from other wards xx

I gave birth here 2 months ago and honestly had the BEST care ever. I was supported all throughout my labour and pushing phase - I called them my choir of angels. All the midwives and docs were sooooo nice

Sorry to add I was in the Lilac Birth Centre initially but then moved to Labour ward everyone at both places amazing! However the stay afterwards at Mulberry I found highly disappointing x
