Elective C Section at John Radcliffe- Pre Op appointments
Hi all,
I have decided to have an elective c section due to some health complications, and had a phone call with a date given to me. I can see in my NHS app I’ve had two other appointments put in, one seems to be a video call with an anaesthetist, then another face to face the next day at the JR at 6.15pm (?).
I was wondering if this second appointment is another pre-op appointment? It looks like the appointment is with a Caesarian delivery specialist midwife, but I don’t have any more details than that from my NHS app and I haven’t received a letter.
If you’ve had a c section recently at the JR or are due to have one, do you have any idea what the second appointment is for?

@Alice thank you, and do you know what this appointment entails compared to the video call with the anaesthetist? Also I thought it was strange it was at 6.15pm on a Friday evening but maybe it’s not?
Mine was 6.15pm two days before my section date. It will be bloods etc and you’ll be given some medication to take the night before
