Don’t know what to do anymore

Hey ladies I’m struggling , I’ve been ttc for 2 years now and I’ve had 4 miscarriages within this time. I feel like my time Is never going to come and I won’t have my little family that I’m dreaming of 😭, I had my progesterone tested after a massive fight to get it tested and they said it’s normal Does anyone know what I can do , does anyone have any success stories ? I don’t want to give up hope I really don’t but I feel like it will never happen 😭

Has your partner been tested? It might be his swimmers? X

@Ashley yeah he’s been tested , one of the first things we done , when I had my first scan they told me I might have heart shaped uterus then second scan was told it might be two , I’ve got a gynaecologist appointment at the end of September but just feels never ending 💔xx

Are you in the UK? Could you be referred to Tommy's clinic for more testing/ to be under their care as you've had 4 miscarriages. Sorry you're experiencing this😢

@Hannah yeah I’m in the uk , I’m Scotland , how do I get referred to them ? Xxx

If you look at this link it gives you more info. https://www.tommys.org/our-research/referrals-our-clinics/referrals-our-miscarriage-clinics#:~:text=All%20of%20the%20clinics%20will,from%20anywhere%20within%20the%20UK.

You could also listen to some of the worst girl gang ever podcasts, they have episodes about recurrent miscarriage and they might be helpful from an emotional point of view, as well as to see if there's more specific tests you could have done on the NHS/ private or a specific specialist you could look into. Their podcasts are great if you haven't come across them before😊 xx

I was in the same boat almost 3 years of trying with 4 miscarriages as well. After the 4th I was finally referred to a fertility doctor but all testing came back normal for my husband and I. The doctor recommended I start taking a prenatal that has high folic acid, omega 3 and vitamin D and my husband start taking FertilPro for men (it helps improve the DNA of sperm) a couple months before trying again. We ended up getting pregnant the next time we tried and I’m currently 26 weeks. As soon as I found out I was pregnant my doctor put me on a high dose of progesterone until 12 weeks (even though my levels were normal) and baby aspirin. Since testing was normal I really don’t know what saved this pregnancy but I never thought i would ever make it this far. Don’t lose hope ❤️

Have you been tested for APS? It isn’t on a normal blood panel and has to be specifically asked for.

@Sarah omg gal congratulations that’s amazing , I might look into the prenatal, omega 3 and vitamin D and also the fertilpro xxx

@Kristian Larger what is aps? Xx

APS is Antiphospholipid Syndrome. Basically it’s an autoimmune disorder associated with placental insufficiency. I lost 3 months in a row and tested positive for it. We think that is what caused my losses

@Kristian Larger how do you get tested for it ? It was a struggle for the gp to test my progesterone never mind anything else xx

Hey I had 2 mcs, when I got Pregnant again i immediately went to a private clinic. They prescribed progesterone, folic acid, aspirin and steroids. The pregnancy went to term and now have a 3 month old, so do not lose hope, stay positive and would definitely recommend doing research and getting to a specialist

After my third loss I requested it to be added to the regular blood panel they wanted to run
