Pregnant after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks in May and have been TTC since June. Been tracking ovulation and have just had a positive pregnancy test before a missed period. Feeling like I can’t get excited yet and trying not to think about it, but when I was in the EPU a nurse told me to let them know straight away if I was to fall pregnant as they would give me early scans and possibly give me progesterone. Has anyone else been given this advice? If so did they contact their EPU in the first instance? UK/london

I had a miscarriage in March and now 11 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby. I haven’t been offered progesterone though?

Yes had exactly this and London based - bypassed GP, called EPU on positive test, they booked a scan at 6 weeks, confirmed viable pregnancy and prescribed progesterone on the spot (I would be a bit cheeky and say you’ve had a bit of spotting as I believe that’s the criteria to prescribe).

We have a history of mcs. Also had a recent one in May at 11 weeks and fell pregnant in June. I’m on a prescription for progesterone (cyclogest), 5mg of folic acid and 2 doses of baby aspirin a day. We were offered blood tests first to check HCG was increasing and then one scan. I would ensure it’s after 6 weeks to see the heart beat. They won’t offered any more unless cramping or bleeding until 12 week scheduled one.

Progesterone is to help you stay pregnant. I would tell them.

Not In the uk but I gave birth to a stillborn in April 2023, it was devastating, I ended up pregnant again in November 2023 and had my baby back in may this year, my condition doesn’t allow my body to support a baby, so I needed a cerclage to keep my cervix closed from 14 weeks of pregnancy and had constant ultrasounds and exams and I’ve been told that they would do the same with any upcoming pregnancies

Yes the same happened to me and I took progesterone also. Baby is now 2 x

I had 2 miscarriages in 2022 (1 being a d&c), I wasn't offered anything just told 'it happens' and 'it's highly unlikely to happen again' I eventually got pregnant again last year with my youngest boy, I couldn't get fully excited until he was born, I was always worried something would go wrong or I'd bleed. Thankfully he's here,6 months old keeping me on my toes🤣 fingers crossed for you 😊 xx
