Where I am from, after a year of TTC you are supposed to chat with your doctor which has me curious how many months I’ve technically been trying to conceive. When you have an early miscarriage (I started bleeding at 5w1d) does it reset the amount of months I’ve been TTC?

I'm curious about this too, I've heard it 'resets' after a mc :/

It does not reset, whatever you were dealing with beforehand that caused your infertility problem(s) is not cured now that you have, unfortunately, gotten pregnant & miscarried. I personally was ttc for nearly 6 years in total, 2 years ago i had a missed miscarriage, & still went on to need endometriosis removed from my uterus last year on top of my partner being diagnosed as infertile so we had to all of a sudden go the donated sperm route after years of trying together thinking i was the sole problem. I'm just now almost 24 weeks pregnant with our rainbow baby after all these years!

@Sophie Right!? It would make sense to me that it reset and make the amount months TTC a little less daunting but I’m still curious 🫠

@Autumn ah I have a feeling we're a bit stricter over here but it might be worth asking anyway OP. I'm coming up to a year of TTC (2 mcs since) so I think I'll try and get a GP appt
