Oh & we also had him hooked on a owlet to monitor his oxygen & saturation that really helped with my peace of mind, highly recommend if you do think he is struggling to breathe it’ll help you see if he actually is❤️
@Nadia so pleased to hear he is doing well now 🥰 I tried side sleeping tonight and it was much better! Will definitely look into the owlet, thank you for the recommendation
Great! Side sleeping is amazing for laryngomalacia, its also great for reflux as any posits or milk brought back up can easily find its way out without the baby choking. Im glad it helped, ❤️❤️
Hi I just want to second side sleeping! We roll swaddles and place it on his side so he doesn’t roll over in his sleep. We also lay him on a slight incline in his bassinet/at all times. He’s never flat on his back, even for diaper changes. Also I know this is easier said than done but try not to let him get overworked or cry to much as I think it irritates the inflammation in their throat and makes the stridor worse. We also use the owlet as well as the sense-u breathing monitor.
We did side sleeping as well as propping him in his bassinet. Not the safest sleep, but it worked for us. We had the Nanit camera to monitor his breathing. After 6 months, he outgrew his lm
Awww my little one also suffered with laryngomalacia for months! At the start he would make such loud whistle noises while sleeping, when he was on his side the noise would reduced alot, we use prop him in a “home made” nest to keep him on his side as he also suffered with severe reflux. The noise gradually got better, he is now 1 and its completely gone
