When should I go to hospital?
Hi, I found out that I have strep b a couple of months ago.
I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant and would like to know when should I go to the hospital? As soon as my contractions start or when my water breaks? I don’t want to be sent back home if I’m not ready.

When your waters go
I strongly disagree with the above. My contractions started 3 hours before I delivered. My waters didn’t break until 10 mins before I gave birth. I would go as soon as you start getting your contractions kind of regularly like one per 7 mins or something. I didn’t have time for antibiotics but thankfully we were both fine. My daughter is now 3.5 months.
You go as soon as your first symptom arises of labour! The quicker you get them antibiotics the better! You’ll be let straight in and not sent home if you’ve got strep x
