Hospital stay

Hello! I’m due to have my elective c section in December, I was just wondering if anyone knows if my partner can stay with me the night when baby has arrived. The last time I had a baby was almost 6 years ago, dads were allowed to stay but I know we’ve since had Covid and wasn’t sure what the rules are now for Dad staying with you. Thank you ☺️

I’ve been told Dad’s can stay 8AM-8PM. But due to my personal mobility situation, my midwife has told me to speak to them at my pre-op about the possibility of my husband staying with me and us having a private room. Apparently sometimes they will review patient by patient so to speak. She also said no under 18’s which I’m gutted about 😕.

I recently had a c section and I'm sorry to say partners weren't allowed to say overnight I was on a ward he was just allowed to visit from 8am to 8pm I don't know if it's different if you are in your own room but I was on a ward 😞 But the nurses and midwives were really helpful and did everything they could to try help ❤️ x

I gave birth last week and my husband was only allowed on Rowan ward from 8am to 8pm and I was in a bay for my induction and then a side room following labour. The midwives and HCAs were all available whenever I needed them though and very helpful even in just getting me some water when I was feeding baby.

I had my c-section in Hinchingbrooke hospital after raising a complaint with my care in Kettering - my partner was allowed to stay with me right from when I was induced (Friday) until I was discharged (Wednesday). Have to say moving to hinchingbrooke was the best decision I’ve ever made 💕
