How long to wait after DNC?
Hi, I just got my period after having a DNC about a month ago. I also just had my postop visit with my OB she told me that I should wait a month before trying again so that my uterine lining could rebuild to the healthy state. She mentioned there was an increase of miscarriage if I didn’t due to the chance my lining may not be optimal for egg survival. Has anybody’s doctor said the same thing? Curious to know if people are getting different advice from their doctors and would love to hear! We originally had planned to start trying right away, but I also can’t fathom going through such heartbreak again and would like to avoid it if I can.

My Doctor said to wait one week after my D&C. That was back in September and we’re still trying for our rainbow a year later. I want another baby so bad, if I ever get pregnant again I’m going to be so worried. I understand your heartbreak. So sorry for your loss, it’s tough in more ways than one. It’s never easy. Good luck with whatever decision you make.
My doctor said I could try right away. However, it took 3 months and then I had another miscarriage…. So I wouldn’t rush it

I was told there wasn’t an increased chance but to wait until after one period to help with dating. I waited one cycle. I’m on cycle number 3 no luck so far. Sending you baby dust xx
