How long did it take to get pregnant again?

I have recently miscarried, and it took us 9 months to conceive in the first place. My husband and I are ready to start trying again but I’m really worried that it’s not going to happen straight away. How long did it take people to conceive? Feeling very overwhelmed and stressed about the whole situation.

I had a miscarriage end of March and I just found out I’m almost 5 weeks pregnant.. they say you’re more fertile after a miscarriage. I’m terrified of another loss but just trying to stay positive.. try not to stress about it it will happen 🥹

I had a miscarriage in April at 5 weeks and now I’m currently pregnant at 6 weeks. Fingers crossed all is okay! We started trying straight after my first period as we where ready but everyone’s different so if you’re ready go for it xx

It’s different for every person. Your age, egg reserve and quality, partners sperm, any medical conditions and hitting the fertile window accurately all play a role in this. It’s considered that a healthy couple can take up to 1 year to conceive. After that it’s considered that there’s fertility problems and need assistance. It is actually a wives tale that you’re more fertile after a miscarriage. People used to think this as your cervix is more opened but research proves that theory to be wrong. Honestly don’t focus on when it’s going to happen. The more you get fixated and stress over it the longer it will take. Enjoy it, focus on your health, take your vitamins, exercise and make your body the best host it could be and it will happen soon enough. About the miscarriage talk with your doctor for preventative measures maybe like progesterone when you get pregnant or running early bloodwork to make sure no hormones are causing the miscarriage. Good luck :)

@Linh 3 months is a little long. Usually if you continue to bleed there’s something still left in there and the doctor would give you a pill to finish the miscarriage or recommend you to have a D&C/D&E. Have you considered taking inositol to regulate your cycle? It works amazing especially when you have pcos or you’re trying to conceive. It’s beneficial for men too.

I had a MMC in December and am now currently 6 weeks pregnant 🙏🏼 here’s to hoping this is our rainbow baby 🌈✨

I had a miscarriage in April and conceived again in April 2 weeks after my miscarriage. I am now 11 weeks with my 🌈 ❤️

@Linh I feel you I’ve had one natural miscarriage, one where I had to take the pill as the placenta was still inside, one chemical and now I had to do a D&E, but I have a thyroid condition and now we even send a sample for chromosome testing to see if there’s any extra problems. For some reason I expected the recovery from D&E to be easier and while it saved me from the traumatizing bleeding and seeing the baby I’m still recovering 10 days later and in pain. Try inositol it will help a lot. A lot of obgyns and gps just like to brush you off. It’s when you reach the specialist level is when they actually look into your problems and how to solve them.

@Linh Thank you <3 I already have a 2yo daughter (after 2 miscarriages) and just like I told my fertility doctor “if I never have another child ever again they’ve already given me the world”. I just wish she can have a sibling to play with as I was alone child and hated it.

Firstly, so sorry for your loss, it’s awful. I had a MMC 3 years into our fertility journey, fell pregnant with our 🌈 baby 2 years later. He’s now 14 months and I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant, our bodies are strange things.

It’s different for everyone but me personally, it’ll be a year on July 14 since my MC and we’re still trying to conceive. I’ve been on clomid since January. I’m sorry for your loss. I know it’s heartbreaking and can be a frustrating journey to conceive again. I hope it happens for you soon!

@Teneal hey did u do anything different this time?

@Aroosa to be honest nothing that stands out except just trying to not put pressure on the fertile window and try to just “enjoy” it rather than working towards an outcome!

@Linh 4000mg/day decided on 2 doses or 2 sachets. I personally prefer the pill over the powder as it’s easier to take. Bare minimum is 2000mg for fertility and sadly most supplements offer just that. And I would still ask your doctor what they would recommend.
