Wow! Mine was 4.6 the last time! Yet they haven't said its a real issue. Just said its borderljne/only slightly above what it should be. I'm just worried it's gonna happen again if not controlled
I am almost 14 weeks and my tsh was 9.5 at 9 weeks. My t3 and t4 were good so doctor said that this two are more important for baby and not to worry since this happens often in pregnancy. He convinced me that all is good.. I read also somewhere that tsh should be under 2 something but he said mine is fine 🤷🏻♀️
I had an underactive thyroid and worried that was the reason for my two miscarriages. I did not take medication for it because it wasn’t that bad and I am now 31 weeks pregnant with my double rainbow.
I have underactive thyroid and I had a good pregnancy and labour. I normally take 25mg but I had to take 75 mg throughout my pregnancy. I also had a thyroid nurse who monitored the first 6 months of my pregnancy
@Ruzica this is what I'm hoping as my t4 and other levels are in the normal range too. So hopefully it's OK
@Jessica my doctor honestly wasn’t concerned at all and told me that this happens very often. He said if other thyroid parameters were off he would probably put me on medication, but in this case it doesn’t affect baby at all since other two are more important. I felt pretty relieved after that visit since I read many things online that put me in panic mode.
@Haley can I ask what your tsh level was if you can remember? Mine was 4.6 last time and obviously needs to be below 2 in pregnancy. I'm just hoping it's not too late to start it now x
Sorry you’ve had these losses, similar here, 2 chemicals. A lot of doctors seem to be against giving medication such as Levothyroxine unless you 100% have a Thyroid issue. In my case, my Thyroid was fine as well however when testing for the hormone TSH it came at 2.7 and ideally for pregnancy, doctors recommend that TSH should be under 2.5. So my OBGYN prescribed 25micrograms of levothyroxine daily, which is a very small dose but eventually did help me drop TSH down to 1.5 and it’s been stable. I am currently pregnant but I am still very early not out of the woods yet, but would definitely recommend asking about it as TSH levels seem to have a strong connection with early miscarriage
