Hayfever

Hey, anyone taking anti histamines for hayfever? I called midwife today and she suggested piriton but didn’t sound confident.

I called Midwife and she referred me to the GP. Called him and he actually googled it whilst on the phone to me and was reading out the advice from Google 😳 then said he’d send me the link to it and let me decide what I wanted to do. I made the decision not to, I’ve been prescribed a nasal spray which is totally safe to use instead. I’m not taking the chance when even a doctor can’t tell me 🤦🏽‍♀️ so suffering all summer will have to be the case 🤣

Ah! I understand they have to be so careful when there’s no evidence but it’s so hard isn’t it! I’m really suffering. Which nasal spray if you don’t mind me asking? Perhaps something better than nothing!

I'm having this same dilemma there seems to be so much conflicting information! The NHS website says Loratadine is OK, the most popular brand of that is Clarityn. But it doesn't really work for me 😅 and it seems some GPs will suggest alternatives and others won't

I am not taking any tablets but I have a teaspoon of local wildflower honey every morning and it really does help! If you fancy a natural remedy ☺️
