Signs of SVT
Hi all,
My son was diagnosed with SVT when I was 32 weeks pregnant. This was controlled with digoxin via myself and then propranolol 3 times a day. He is now 13 months and touch wood hasn’t had any SVT episodes since birth.
The specialist now wants him to come off his medication to see if he has outgrown the SVT or not.
I was wondering what other babies / children’s signs of being in SVT are? We’ve been told a few to look out for but hoping you can help with some signs too.

Hi Stacey, I know it’s a little late to respond, but with my little girl her episodes made her go very floppy from the exhaustion of the elevated heart rate. It was also something that we could easily feel by checking pulse points! It’s so nerve-wracking when they’re weaned off of their meds, but it’s amazing when they’re finally off of them. My little girl was weaned off at 2 due to the severity of her condition when she was born, and thankfully she outgrew it. Fingers crossed all has gone well for you and your little one!
