Nursery
Hi all, has a one else’s children suffered from separation anxiety from starting nursery? My son will be 2 in feb and recently started nursery and has become so clingy and tearful even if we pop to see friends and family.

Agree with Kate. My LO doesn’t go to nursery but we go to different play groups throughout the week. There’s one he’s been attending for well over a year n and used to love, but recently he’s started crying and clinging to me, and pointing to the door. He’s also done this at other play groups and other peoples houses. He’s 20 months so close in age. It is just a normal developmental thing. Not very nice when it’s happening though! Hopefully it’ll pass soon for both our sons 🤞

I think it might be a developmental step. My first went into nursery from 9 months and from day 1 never reacted at drop off. Aged 2 she then became clingy and started crying at drop off. Lasted about 6 weeks and then went back to normal again. No issues again since.
