Bed rail
Hi,
I have an 18mth old who although sleeps most of the time in their cot sometimes she needs the extra comfort and likes to sleep in with me.
I'm a single mom so it's just me and her in the bed on those nights I don't get any sleep because I'm terrified she'll fall out with all the moving about she does. At 18mths is safe to put a bed a rail on my bed? I know safe sleep 7 advice against that but I'm assuming that's for a young young baby not an over 1yr old.
I used a rail at that age and even younger when I was traveling, at home we used a floor bed. At around that age or a bit older my boy fell between the mattress and the rail twice! Luckily I woke up both times. After I would put a pillow stuffed. So I'd say it is safe enough if the rail is very tight against the bed. I still use it, but now my child is bigger and he wouldn't fit in the gap
