Oh my goodness. If the baby is very attached, it’s because they need you more. Nothing wrong with that. But it takes a lot of presence and energy from you, I see you. We’re in the same boat. Just here to say that at least for us, baby girl started crawling and loves it. She’s getting better at entertaining herself, but she still has a strong preference for me being nearby. What helped me was a) wearing her A LOT, b) going to mum&baby fitness classes because I needed the strength to carry her and because i liked it better than baby classes, and there’s lots happening for baby to watch, c) encouraging her to find boring everyday tasks fun, like folding the laundry and cooking. And the Happy Song. On repeat.
High needs??! Why oh why has this been described in a way like your boy is different and a problem ? (Albeit does sound exhausting! 😅) My boy can play alone but for max 20 mins before he also needs me. Though it’s much shorter if he’s tired. He will probably be more entertained once crawling more but still will want you!! If it’s worth knowing my mum always tells me that my brother was just like this and needed constant entertaining ….. and he’s turned out the smart one! I’d say it’s a sign of intelligence 😊
Who said this? Professionals? My baby luckily has got past been cranky 24/7 but is exactly the same with everything else
