When did you stop using a baby monitor for your toddler?

My girl is 18 months and I'm not sure when we should shop using the monitor overnight, when did you stop?

She's currently 2, no plan on not having one anytime soon.

Mines 3 next month and we’re still using it 😅 I like to be able to check on him before I go to bed without potentially disturbing him by going into his bedroom

@Bonnie do you keep it on overnight or just turn it on for checking as and when you want to?

Still use it for my 3yo, we can't hear her with the doors shut and 9/10 if she wakes in the night she will just sit there and cry mummy or daddy and won't move. I just have it on but blacked out and just check every now and again so I can go replace covers, she's a nightmare for kicking them off

Still using it at nearly 2 1/2 years , but will carry on until I feel confident in her abilities to stay safe after we remove the cot sides etc so most likely around 3.5 x she likes the fact we talk through it and reassure her tbf I leave it on but turn the screen face down so I can quickly check it, mine does have the black out option but I prefer to just quickly check like that instead

My 3yo still has one. When he starts consistently sleeping at night I'll stop using it

@Cara ah I never thought of the change to the toddler bed, thank you for sharing!

Coming up for 2 years old next month but we still use it because that’s how I know he’s awake in the morning, he’s my alarm clock. I don’t think I’d get up otherwise. It stays on all night. I don’t plan to stop until he can get up out of bed and come into our room and wake me in the morning.

We still use one for our 3.5 year old. Our house is big and it’s not easy to hear her if you aren’t on the same level. She also has quiet time in her room sometimes and I like to be able to check on her during that time.

My little girl is nearly 4 and we still use it. It’s split screen so we mainly use it for the baby, but I like to keep an eye on her as well because she’s useless at pulling her duvet back on, so I check the monitor before going into her room. Also, she likes to play in her room sometimes, so it’s handy to check on her.

I just started and he's almost 11 months 🤷🏻‍♀️

My son turned two early Oct and still using it. Not planning on stopping for now.

Daughter is 3 and I still use it sometimes

We still use it for our 2,5 year old! She doesn’t leave her bed if she wakes up and we can’t hear her if she calls out at night either. So we keep it on at night for sound but turn the screen off

No I turn it off when i go to bed. So it’s just on for a couple of hours in the evening whilst he’s in bed but I’m still up

My kids are 3 and 1.5, I don't plan on stopping anytime soon!!

I’ll probably stop around 5 when I’m sure he will come get us in the middle of the night if he needs us. He’s 2 and still in a crib and I’ll use it when change to a toddler bed and full size. Ours cause play sound in the background on the phone so it can be off the monitor but we can hear if he cries or is sick or anything. He threw up the other night and it was super useful if we didn’t have it he would’ve just slept in it

I still use one for my 3.5 year old
