I need some advice really struggling….

My LO is 3 months and 2 weeks and is EBF. He follows a routine during the day where he naps at least three times and is fed very well throughout the day*. Once given a bath and breast fed, he will sleep from 8:30pm to 10:30pm once fed again he will sleep for 4 hours (that’s the longest he’s ever done and not often) and after that only sleeps for an hour at a time(mostly because he fusses a lot like struggling to sleep longer) I’m really struggling to get him to sleep longer during the night and not wake up an hour at a time. It’s like he startles himself and just cannot settle no matter how much I rock him or check his swaddle. I end up feeding him and rocking him in my arms and he will sleep only for an hour. I’ve had no sleep… it’s beyond sleep deprivation I’m just cracking at this point it’s affecting my mental health, please can anyone help? * sorry for the long post*

Have you tried a pacifier?

I'm sorry you are in the thick of it right now, mama. I can only share what worked for us but educating myself on safe cosleeping really helped me and LO get better sleep in the long run - he has slept deeper and longer by my side. Even if he'd have his night wakes I could give him the boob and still be resting next to him until he fell back asleep. I hope you two can find your rhythm and find more pockets of sleep.

My LO was the same, we have started to give him a massage at 10.30 at night and give him feed, which he is always taking as a cluster feed, and he has been co sleeping with me, for about 4 days and we both been sleeping much better, I hope this can help you x

Swaddle him. He will sleep a lot better. Also as long as he’s warm he will sleep better too

We started co sleeping or side line feeding then moving back to the crib.

@Dianna my husband doesn’t want it so we’re trying without it

@Lida Mabe it’s the way I swaddle him? He will sleep in the swaddle then he starts fidgeting and kicks the covers off

@Mee it’s the same when we co sleep too so I’m like confused and don’t know what else to try

We didn't either at first but sleeping through the night became a breeze with it. We use it to put him to sleep and then hide it. Lol

I thought you don't swaddle at 2 to 3 months old....
