I've got the infantino carrier and we've had no problems. Comfortable to wear and little one loves it.
I've got the one you mentioned and I recommend it to everyone. I'm someone with a very large chest (36jj) and it is so comfortable doesn't cause bruising on my daughter's legs at all. All carriers could cause bruising if not used properly so I'd ignore those reviews
I also know someone that's still using it with their 18 month old so it lasts ages
I'd go for something more newborn specific but second hand to keep the cost down or on hire x
I'd really recommend the close caboo, you can pick them up on vinted or marketplace really cheap, they last well and are so comfy x
I got an ergo baby sling second hand this time very cheap on eBay and love it and she loves it too. Got a close caboo from first baby and it’s great, but the straps hurt my shoulders after a while and it’s a bit more fiddly getting them in.
If you're happy with second hand check out Marketplace or Vinted - might be able to find some higher end ones for good value. ☺️
I looked up the best reviewed brands and got mine on vinted 😊 paid about 1/4 of the retail price.

I got the snugglebug one on Amazon about £20 I think and that works really well for us! My little boy is 4 weeks old :)
