EBF babies - has anyone changed to formula?
10 months in and I'm tired. The teeth hurt my nips. Has anyone changed to formula and did they sleep better? I really wanted to get to a year!

It’s a myth formula fed babies sleep better apparently! With my first baby I combi fed and when she self-weaned around 7 months it made no difference to her sleep. My little one sometimes feels a bit scratchy when I feed him due to his teeth but it doesn’t hurt. Check your latch and position he’s in etc as that’ll make a difference x
My babys got 8 teeth 9 on the way, and still breastfeeding and I don't experience pain while feeding. They change their tongue position to bite! X

My sister in law switched and it didn’t make a difference to his sleep and she regrets it so much. It’s very often the temperament of the baby rather than how they’re fed. Teething can hurt nipples from the saliva changes, but doesn’t automatically cause bites or pain! Best thing to do is go back to basics with latch as a well latched baby shouldn’t be able to bite. We’ve had 4 top teeth appear all at once and I was using nipple balm like the beginning it was so frequent x
