Nappies!

I’m really struggling ATM with leaking nappies, my LB is 23 months old but only just gone in to 12-18 month clothes, he was in size 5 nappies but leaked alot after trying all brands, so went to a 4 and still leaked so tried and 4+ but still happening🙈 he wakes up every morning wet, when we go out in the pram or car he’s wet when we get him out even if we have only changed his nappy 15 mins prior, I’m just stuck what to do xx

I have had this issue with our little boy for months. He was in size 6 tesco nappies and we tried aldi and lidl bit this made no difference. We are now using 6+ from Sainsburys and they have been life changing x

@Gemma I thought the size 5 nappies had a big cap in between the leg and the nappy that’s why I down sized, the size 4 I got was Sainsbury’s and they was so bad! I was changing him every half an hour 🙈 I’m just so stuck as he do wee a lot as he drinks alot but he’s only 10.7kg so there all massive in his legs xxx

Are you using nappy pants or taped nappies? Taped ones may hold it in better perhaps, have you tried Pampers?

@Nicole we was using nappy pants, but then changed to normal nappies, we always used pampers but they leaked so started to try others and they leak too most of the time xxx

I've heard Rascal & Friends from Tesco are good. It's trick though as sounds like it's likely due to how much he drinks but you want them to be able to drink as much as they like without having leaks naturally.

I'd suggest trying size 5+ if he was in size 5 anyway. The + basically means extra absorbant, shouldn't be much different in size to the 5s. Downsizing can cause more issues because the lower sizes have less absorbancy because the smaller the baby the smaller the bladder/amount they pee I guess. You might manage a better fit with an actual nappy compared to nappy pants because of the legs. I know my lad I always felt like he was in a size bigger than needed in the pants because they'd cut his chunky legs before he really outgrew them anywhere else.

@Gemma I’m struggling because he’s got really thin legs so there’s a massive gap but he wees a lot 🙈 xxx
