I think it’s honestly preference. My son takes only 1 long nap during the day which is what works for me. It allows him to go to sleep for the night by 7pm usually so I can get some stuff done
Mine started fighting her second nap, but she was getting overtired. I started doing an earlier bedtime when she skips second nap and that seems to be working well so far (from 8p to 7p)
We went to one nap at 10ish months. She takes a long nap most of the time, and it has worked well.
