These are a great idea and I loved the thought of buying once and it lasting a while. However, when it came to the next-to-me to cot/own room transition at 6 months. A lot of people were saying that they put LO in their own room for naps and then slowly in their own room for overnight, however we had to go cold turkey and go full cot and own room change and no option to change back if it didn’t work. The cot wouldn’t fit in our room and I didn’t fancy moving the cot along the landing middle of the night either. LO was fine with it when we did change but would have been different if he was more sensitive to change. I just thought I’d share my experience with something like this because if I’d realised, I don’t think I would have got it. We have the Tutti Bambini XL for reference.

I have a cot that converts to a single toddler bed after used as a cot I just left a side off and used it as a next to me
@Lizzie we have this and really like it! Though going to have to turf out toddler out of the cot soon so we can use it when baby arrives

I have a normal cot, took one side of and connected to my bed , we are at same level but she sleps in her bed :)

We have the shnuggle crib to cot. It's different as the sides are fabric but does grow.
