Sleep - help!

It’s just one big disaster. My LB is 6 months on Friday and his sleep is terrible. He’ll go down fine, but seems to be waking so much it’s draining me to the point where we end up cosleeping because I’ve not got the option of napping in the day with him as I’ve got a 2 year old. He’s not waking because he’s hungry - he’s fast asleep as soon as we pick him up but if we don’t pick him up he gets really upset. I don’t think it’s pain either as he wouldn’t just fall back sleep. It makes absolutely no difference what day time sleep he has - he has 3 naps. Today he had 3 x 30 minute naps & yesterday he had 3 naps which totalled to 3.5 hours. I’m just drained 🙃 he’s already woke once tonight already 🤯

Same here. 6months on Friday and wakes every 1-2 hours. We cosleep and have done since day 1. I'm absolutely knackered and I'm sorry I have no advice just know you're not alone 🩷

Same here, sleep never has been her strong suit but for almost a week now the wake ups have increased in frequency (up latest after 2hrs) and she’s only settling when picked up.. we already had the first wake up and tears of desperation on my end 😥

With you on this one - my little boy goes down at 8.15/8.30 does his big stretch in his cot until about 12 and then he has a bottle and rarely settles back in there, so we end up co-sleeping and even then he can wake up every hour making little noises which escalate to crying if I leave him. Also have a 2 year old so can’t risk him waking her up! Just been up for the first time to pop the dummy back in

@Hannah 6 months on Friday too birthday twins! Hope things get better

My 6 month old is the same, except I have to feed him to make him sleep again. Gone from sleeping through the night, to one wake up, then two now he’s waking up 3, 4 or last night 5 times 😭

Ditto over here too! Coslept since 3 months as he wakes every 2 hours on the dot for a feed - day and night 🥴 you can basically write me off from 7pm onwards!! I’m making a conscious effort after I sing/pat/rub his back or feed him back to sleep to get up and leave him (go back to him if he wakes unsettled) but not join him until it’s actually my bed time!

Same. Having a BAD night tonight. People are saying to me it’s due to her day naps being poor 🤷🏼‍♀️

Feel for all of you. It’s 3 am, and it feels like I’ve being up from 12.30 am. I don’t even know how many times I had to resettle him in this time. Woke up/little feed/change diaper because it’s full/ settle in cot. 10 minutes later - poop, change again, Settle, 10 minutes later wake up. And that’s pretty much me for the last 2h. Now fed him a bit more and holding him in my arms battling what to do next.

I swear this child learned to hold his poop just so he can do it in a fresh new diaper. Every single time. Clearly doesn’t care about a family budget.

@Kate 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Sleep trained a few days ago and she is now sleeping through. Before she was waking up around 3 times a night. We had sone the same with my now 2 year old son. Couldn’t recommend it more.

See I sleep trained from 22/9/24. Night weaned all bottles bar the 4-5am one. She doesn’t really cry in the night, it’s this screaming sing type noise and wide awake for possibly an hour.

@Hayley my LG has started doing this almost like a wake window for her. wide awake and screeches sometimes.

@Hayley what do you do? I was leaving the room and only returning if she was crying a lot for like 5 minutes continuously. Then staying 20 seconds and leaving. Then repeating if needed.

My LG has started this the past few nights whenever I put her down she wakes back up screaming

@Elsa I did Ferber 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is he working on a skill? If so, hang in there. My baby has been a terrible sleeper since July (hourly wakes) and honestly he learnt how to crawl early last week and since then his sleep has turned a corner…
